Just Another Project

I hope y’all had a great Memorial Day weekend with family and friends!  We stayed put and started on a much anticipated project for the boys…a playset in the backyard.  The boys, especially my oldest, have been so excited about having their own ‘playground’.  My oldest, Kaisson, told Adam, “Daddy, I’m going to be so proud of my playground!”  How sweet is that!?!

So, we started Friday with a trip to Lowe’s to pick up all the wood, screws, and play accessories.  Guess we should have known from the start that we’d have a lot of hiccups along the way, because we got to Lowe’s and realized we had left the plans at home.  So, I left the boys and Adam at the store and I headed home to grab them!

The project, that we anticipated being done with Sunday night, we are still working on!  Wrong angles cut, boards flipped the wrong way, bolts the wrong length, several trips to Lowe’s…but we’re getting closer!  The boys are super excited, and who wouldn’t be?  I would have loved this as a kid?  It’s super strong and even Adam and I took a ride down the slide!  We’re looking forward to sitting up on the tower this Summer telling stories with the boys and I’m eager to catch some fireflies for the boys to see!  Since we were working into the dark we noticed that we have quite a few in our backyard.

Hopefully by the end of the week we’ll have a finished product to show off and a playset for the boys to fully enjoy!  Then the next project…revamping the mess of a backyard…manicuring.  Always a project to be completed…

Have you signed up for May’s 2 giveaways?  Friday a winner will be announced.  So get signed up by then.  Found out how HERE.
