Who doesn’t love a good deal? And who wants to break the bank when you can find a great deal? I was asked what my favorite places to shop were for inexpensive accessories. So here’s my list of my top places that I love to shop…
Target…who doesn’t love this place?!? They have the best accessories…pillows, throws, bedding, towels, shower curtains, kitchen items…pretty much anything you need! Their prices are always reasonable, they’re always on target (ha!) with the latest trends, and offer a lot of knock-off look alike items from places like West Elm or Pottery Barn.
Pier One…you have to be selective about what you purchase because some ideas can be pricier. But you can find good accessories for good prices here. I really like their pottery, greenery and sticks. I’ve accessorized many a bookshelf using items from Pier One.
World Market…great place for furniture, grass shades, curtains, kitchen accessories, and artwork. They are reasonable in price. I specifically think they have a great artwork section and are reasonably priced.
IKEA…well, we all know about IKEA…great stuff for cheap! You have to put it together yourself (buyer beware) but you can get some great looking furniture, rugs, baskets, frames, pillows, and anything else you need (or don’t need) there. And if you haven’t been to one, you’ll soon find out that they want you to buy something…it’s an endless maze that you have to weave through to get to the exit. If there was a fire we’d be in deep trouble!
TJMaxx and Marshalls…depending on the store, these stores have good home decor accessories. You never know what you’ll find because merchandise is always changing, but it’s fun to browse through and you can always find a great lamp, frame, or other accessory.
My all time FAVORITE place to shop…drum roll please….HomeGoods. If you have not been to a HomeGoods you are missing out!!! They have the BEST stuff…lamps, mirrors, rugs, artwork, pillows, accessory items. HomeGoods is part of TJMaxx and Marshalls stores…just take their small home decor section and expand it into a whole store. Items here look very high end…lamps that look like Restoration Hardware, Ralph Lauren pillows, accessories like those from Pottery Barn. I love getting to shop the aisles of HomeGoods. This is my all time favorite place to accessorize for my clients. I can easily fill several buggies per trip for a client.
I will be doing a post dedicated to HomeGoods pretty soon…so be watching!!! I’ll be sharing all kinds of fun finds and creating a room designed based on just items from HomeGoods…should be fun!!!
