I hope that you all had a blessed Thanksgiving with family and friends! I always love spending time with the family, eating yummy food, and getting in my after turkey nap. And as a mom of two very little ones…I LOVED my nap! Just wanted to share our Thanksgiving table. Maybe it’ll give you some ideas for next year or for your table at Christmas.
We broke out my Mom’s china and silver, but needed some chargers and for cheap. Our solution…the cardboard pieces that are used to set cakes on. You can get 4 for $4 at Walmart in the cake decorating area! For the centerpiece we bought flowers on clearance at the grocery store. Then we used cake stands, that I made myself for $4, with fruit…the pears we bought and sugared to give them some glisten. Simple, quick, easy, and fun splash of color! We added a few magnolia seed pods that my grandmother brought and voila! The name cards were some that I got from Emily Jones website. Love her and all she makes!! As for the birdnest…we made them! If you’re interested, they’ll be on my Etsy shop soon (email me if interested)!
The kid table was an afterthought…but, I think it turned out fun. A few turkey plates and cups, and magazine clippings I ripped out this morning that were fall colors or things about Thanksgiving…it at least covered up the ugly black card table top!
